2024 with LJMU
A shocking turn of events
In 2024 we returned to the indoor slopes in Manchester with a new academic partner, Liverpool John Moores University lead by Dr Amanda Farrell.
Throughout the afternoon we had fantastic inputs from guest speakers, stalls from vendors and smaller exercises put together by the brilliant Jennifer Vasey (Senior Teaching Fellow at Liverpool John Moores University) who is also the creator of 'The Paramedic Games'
This meant that student paramedics were able to lead teams from a variety of rescue backgrounds in casualty based scenarios.
The main exercise was based on the scenario whereby a young group of people off to enjoy the countryside, had ignored the road closed signs.
Unfortunately for them, the road was closed due to a number of power cables being down in the area.
As the car had come around the corner, it has tried to stop at the site of some engineers repairing a pole and they have struck it becoming entangled in the wires.
A second vehicle that was following has got itself stuck at the same remote location.
