Steve Jones is a retired Merseyside Police Officer. During his service Steve worked in numerous operational roles, often complicated by environmental challenges. These included all aspects of search in his role as a Police Search Advisor. Steve has also worked in public order and CBRN, leading to his experiences with JESIP that makes him a staunch advocate. On retiring and taking up a lecturing position at LJMU, the opportunity to research and explore the accelerating environmental challenges to responders was a chance to better understand and impact on future policy.
