Exercise Flood Fest 2025/2026

The music is playing, the fans are all gathered.....

What happens when a music venue is suddenly flooded, cutting off access and escape? We will be stress testing this scenario in Exercise Flood Fest!

We are hoping by the end of this month (July) to announce an update on the exercise. We have the venue, we have Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service as the lead agency and we have interest from private industry in moving this forward. Please do check back for updates!

Winter Clothing / Equipment Testing

We've joined forces with Liverpool John Moores University to really test the equipment we use, but in a controlled environment. Later this year you'll see us being deliberately frozen for science and the results will be of great value in helping you source the equipment you need.

This afternoon we met with Dr David Low from LJMU as we set the protocols and confirmed the set up for the first equipment test. The testing will take place in early September with a view that we will have the initial results by the Emergency Services Show!

You'll be able to see videos and photos that we take whilst doing the research.

26/07/25 - Not only are we pressing ahead with the proof of concept on the uniform study, but we have just successfully secured the funds to improve the uniforms we wear! We couldn't be happier and the team are incredibly grateful.

Fleet Testing / Driver Training 2025

With huge costs at stake, what do we actually need to help us get to or from an incident. Are our vehicles fitted out for floods, snow and heat? Do we know how to drive them and do we know how to look after them in the field?

We're joining with private industry to find out and we can tell you more about this soon!
